Blake Goldring: His Ideas and Achievements
The present CEO and Chairman of AGF Management Limitedis Blake Goldring. He was chosen as the CEO of the company in the year 2000 and before that, in 1997 he was appointed as the president in his father’s company. Later in 2006, he was also appointed as the manager of AGF. It’s believed that the heights that AGF has been achieving is due to Blake’s leadership. Blake completed his BA in Economics from the University of Toronto and then went on to study Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD Academy in France. His great uncle and even his grandfather pursued their graduations from the same University of Toronto that Blake graduated from. His father C. Warren Goldringhad graduated from U and T. Blake followed his father’s footsteps and in 1981 he got a degree from the Victoria College. He was successful in honoring the Goldring family’s legacy by giving generous supports to the universities.
His contributions to the U and T and Victoria University are really very significant Blake provided them support for learning sports and athletics for extracurricular activities and physical fitness. Some of the well-known names among them are VicOne Norman Jewison Stream in Imagination and the Arts, the Goldring Student Centre, and the Goldring Centre for High-Performance Sport at Varsity Centre.

Apart from his various humanitarian deeds Blake also serves as a director for Sunnybrook Health and Science Center and the director of Canadian Film Centre, C.D. Howe Institute, and for Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He is also serving on the board of governors for the Royal Military College of Canada.
He has served as an Honorary Colonel of the Royal Regiment of Canada in 2006. This is one of the oldest and distinguished regiments in the country. He founded the Canada company in 2006, with an idea of giving support to the families of the veterans serving in Canada’s military. This is made up of more than 450 senior leaders and businessmen.
For his tremendous work and dedication, Blake He has received several awards. Arbor Award in 2009 was given to Blake Goldring for his service towards universities. In 2012 he got Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2011 he was honored with B’nai Brith Award of Merit. Other than this he got B’nai Brith Award of Merit, Military Division (2011). In 2008 from Royal Military College of Canada he got Honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
